CONFERENCE AND FESTIVAL
This year’s Conference will be held in Como, a charming town in northern Italy and one of the most popular in the lake district. Sessions and festivals will be hosted by Collegio Gallio, one of the oldest schools in Europe.
Founded in 1583, its history has seen the passage of many generations of scholars and leading figures in culture and society, but its vocation since its creation has always been to help young people, especially the most vulnerable, to grow up with an education and instruction to open them up to the world.
Being able to host the thirteenth edition of the World Conference on Electronic Literature in this historic building, with the theme of education, is an important signal. The aim is to reaffirm the extent to which society must and can change today, starting from the grassroots and from young people the good practices and the possibilities of shaping together the frontiers of a new pedagogical and educational formulation based more and more on the hybridization between traditional disciplines and subjects and new skills including digital ones.
